Bryen has been a Director and Shareholder of Carrington Financial Services since the Company’s inception 25 years ago.
Bryen’s current role at Carrington is primarily as a Financial Adviser servicing existing clients with a focus on pre-retirement and post retirement advice. His experience in this area aligns with a demographic that is now more than ever in need of advice given constant legislative changes and requirements.
A baby boomer himself, there is a genuine understanding of the needs and objectives of this age group from Bryen. He regularly reflects on how important person-to-person contact is when providing financial advice. Those personal interactions enable the financial advisers to build a deep, long-standing relationship with every client.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bryen enjoyed travel both locally and overseas and is eagerly awaiting the return of those options. He also enjoys regular morning walks on the beach at Glenelg with his wife Michelle and their two dogs as well as time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Jason has been in the financial industry since 1992, with roles in banking institutions and credit unions. In 2013, he become a Director and Shareholder of Carrington Financial Services.
Jason performs two roles at Carrington: as a Financial Adviser, where he works directly with clients; and as a Director, running and managing the business as well as the Carrington Financial Holdings license. Jason enjoys seeing clients in the office as well as regular visits to regional South Australia. Jason enjoys setting clients up for the next stage in life, especially those looking at retirement. He appreciates that every client’s personal situation is different.
Jason ensures that all necessary systems and checks are in place to be able to deliver the services that Carrington promise. Jason balances working “on the business” with working “in the business”.
Jason is heavily involved in junior coaching at his basketball club, the Forestville Eagles, with his wife, Kylie. He is on various committees at the club and both of his children, Lily and Poppy, now play for the Eagles. In recognition of his many years of service as a Forestville Eagle, the club recently unveiled the show court as ‘The Jason Dix Court’ with his signature etched on the hardwood. Jason has been a long-time sports radio host on community radio station, Coast FM, where you can still listen to him on Thursday nights talking about his long-suffering Carlton Blues.
Steven has been involved in financial planning since 2006, his first role at a major bank, followed by over a decade at a number of holistic financial planning and accounting practices.
Steven is the most recent addition to Carrington, offering a different perspective on client’s financial situation by way of whiteboarding and visual aids. He likes to think outside the box and provide a refreshing approach to assisting people with their financial needs.
The best part of the role, in Steven’s opinion, is to build strong rapport with clients, allowing them to relax and feel at ease as they begin to ponder retirement. Steven is also working with a number of clients who are still establishing careers and accumulating wealth, looking for guidance on how to best navigate through the various complex and legislative changes we are faced with every day.
Steven is a big advocate of continuing education, and believes just like other working professionals, learning something new every day and growing incrementally adds value to his role as a Financial Adviser and the clients he sees. He is also a Mentor to aspiring financial planning students, helping to coach the next generation of Financial Advisers through the ever-changing landscape of the industry.
On the weekends, Steven loves finding new coffee and brunch spots across Adelaide, spending time with his wife and his Chow Chow, Coco.
